Nationally Accredited courses specialising in Person Centred Educational Counselling are conducted through the Resource Centre for Personal Development. All training is experiential and conducted in a workplace environment in our counselling centre, groups sizes are between 5 and 10.
Advanced and Graduate Diploma
Advanced Diploma in Educational Counselling (in personal and spiritual awareness and relationship education) is completed in 2 or 3 years of full time study, or may be completed part time and self paced. It consists of 7 units of competency combining counselling, teaching skills, theology and psychology covering multiple topics.
Graduate Diploma of Person Centred Educational Counselling and Therapeutic Group Work (in personal and spiritual awareness and relationship education) is completed in 2 or 3 years of full time study, or may be completed part time and self paced. It consists of 6 units of competency combining counselling, teaching skills, theology and psychology covering multiple topics. There are 4 mandatory units and 2 electives.

Counsellors trained in the above are qualified to teach skills related to counselling. Graduates will have a specialised knowledge of personal/spiritual awareness and relationship education, combined with counselling and teaching skills that are person centred. They are trained to develop facilitate and review resources, and in the analysis of individual and group needs.
